Framepack, Motorcycle Jacket, PVC, Drill Motor, 3D Printed Pieces, Lasercut Acrylic, Miscellaneous Hardware
DESCRIPTION
The idea for this costume was to make an all-in-one portable construction system from the future. A back mounted power unit would run different tool attachments fitted to the wearers arm. The backpack was constructed out of a surplus ALICE frame, with two large air filters serving as the "power cores," housed inside sections from an old CD rack. The central tank is constructed from a couple of cylindrical pieces affixed together, with the spinning light on top frankensteined from a couple of different hazard lights. The drill arm is made out of bent PVC and an old pool filter, and the giant drill bit is a 3D printed piece. The whole thing runs off an old drill that was gutted and refitted in order to fit the new housing. Finally, the Jacket itself is a vintage style motorcycle jacket that I painted construction yellow to match the rest of the costume.
